This course aims to provide an introduction to the Housing Act 2004 in practice, which remains central to the provision of social housing in the UK.

  • Improvement Notices
  • Hazard Awareness Notices
  • Emergency Remedial Action
  • Emergency Prohibition Notices including recent cases before the Residential Property Tribunal
  • Licensing under the Housing Act 2004  – the implications and appeals of Licences HMO licences and Additional/Selective Licensing including recent cases before the Residential Property Tribunal
