1 Day: This one-day Level 3 Award in Emergency First aid at Work (RQF) nationally accredited course will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only, is sufficient for your workplace.  It can be delivered to meet your organisational needs to enable attendees to glean an improved understanding of first aid.

3 Day: This three-day Level 3 Award in First aid at Work (RQF) course equips delegates with the essential skills required to effectively deal with a number of first aid emergencies. This course provides both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations.

Who should attend?

1 Day: For people who want to receive training in emergency first aid and especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments. This course is ideal for all employees regardless of whether they are the nominated first aider.

3 Day: Designed for people who want to receive the most thorough first aid training.

What you will learn?

1 Day: The content of this course provides basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:

  • Introduction and explanation
  • First aid health and safety regulations
  • Learn about the priorities of first aid and how to manage an incident safely
  • Treatments of unconsciousness, shock, bleeding and common workplace injuries
  • Combination of practical and theory sessions

3 Day:

  • Introduction and explanation
  • First aid health and safety regulations
  • How to manage incidents calmly and safely
  • The examination of a casualty and further actions and treatments
  • Treatment of unconsciousness, shock, bleeding, fractures, burns and scalds
  • How to deal with heart attacks, eye injuries and general common illnesses
  • Knowledge of basic life support
  • First aid kits and dressings
  • Recording and reporting injuries

Course duration

1 Day: One day.

3 Day: Three days.

Certification

1 Day: Successful candidates will receive a QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First aid at Work (RQF) which is valid for three years.

3 Day: Successful candidates will receive a QNUK Level 3 Award in First aid at Work (RQF) which is valid for three years. Upon completion of the course, delegates will be awarded with a certificate that enables them to become a designated workplace first aider in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Assessment

Continuous assessment is carried out by the trainer and when completed, attendees will receive certification to allow them to practice for three years until re-qualification.
